Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (your local time zone)
  • Remote role (must reside in the United States)

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $18.00 – $20.00

Responsibilities

  • Research, resolve, and follow up on billing issues, claim denials, and rejections
  • Manage assigned client accounts for all aspects of the billing cycle (charges, payments, AR metrics)
  • Communicate trends, payer denial issues, and recommended resolutions to clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and efficiency
  • Deliver timely reports and document all issue resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, standards, and payer requirements
  • Assist with audits, process improvement, and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of medical accounts receivable experience
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding standards
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and medical billing software
  • Understanding of the full revenue cycle model
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret medical records and claims documentation
  • Preferred: Athena experience and/or behavioral health billing background
