Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (your local time zone)
- Remote role (must reside in the United States)
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $18.00 – $20.00
Responsibilities
- Research, resolve, and follow up on billing issues, claim denials, and rejections
- Manage assigned client accounts for all aspects of the billing cycle (charges, payments, AR metrics)
- Communicate trends, payer denial issues, and recommended resolutions to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and efficiency
- Deliver timely reports and document all issue resolutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, standards, and payer requirements
- Assist with audits, process improvement, and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of medical accounts receivable experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding standards
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and medical billing software
- Understanding of the full revenue cycle model
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret medical records and claims documentation
- Preferred: Athena experience and/or behavioral health billing background
