Schedule

  • Location: Fully remote within the US
  • Type: Full-time
  • Semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including time records, pay rates, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, garnishments, and more
  • Maintain and audit employee payroll records with accuracy in benefits, deductions, and tax details
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage/tax laws
  • Partner with HR and Finance to process new hires, terminations, job changes, and leave management
  • Reconcile payroll accounts with general ledger and bank statements
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries about payroll, withholdings, and adjustments
  • Manage stop payments, reissues, and corrections
  • Support year-end activities including W-2 preparation and filings
  • Assist with audits related to payroll
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes

Requirements

  • 2+ years payroll processing experience, ideally in multi-state, high-volume settings
  • Knowledge of federal and state wage/hour laws and payroll tax compliance
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills to partner effectively across teams
  • Ability to work independently under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking
