Schedule
- Full-time, remote (U.S.-based)
- Location: Brentwood, TN (Remote nationwide)
Responsibilities
- Follow up on unpaid claims with insurance carriers after designated claim age
- Contact insurers by phone, portal, or email regarding denied or incomplete claims
- Research claims using multiple online platforms and portals
- Identify denial trends and report issues to leadership to prevent future denials
- Process appeals for denied claims to ensure proper payment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all claim activity
Requirements
- 1–2 years of AR follow-up experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMS 1500 billing, clearinghouses, EMRs, and billing systems
- Knowledge of multi-state billing requirements, commercial, and government payers
