Schedule
- Full-time, remote position (HQ in Brentwood, TN)
- Standard 8-hour shifts with reliable high-speed internet required
- HIPAA-compliant home office environment
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound, outbound, and dialer calls to schedule and pre-register patients
- Enter patient appointments into multiple hospital software systems
- Verify insurance eligibility, determine patient responsibility, and collect copays or balances
- Obtain authorizations for procedures as required
- Maintain accurate demographic and insurance records in systems
- Respond to patient questions, emails, and follow-up calls with professionalism
- Collect and log quality improvement data for reporting
- Ensure HIPAA compliance while handling sensitive patient information
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6+ months experience in registration, pre-registration, or hospital scheduling preferred
- 6+ months experience in customer service or outbound call center environment
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute while talking with patients
- Knowledge of registration/pre-registration processes, HIPAA regulations, and collections practices
- Strong communication, active listening, and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance goals
