Schedule
- Full-time, remote position (HQ in Brentwood, TN)
- Standard business hours, no travel required
Responsibilities
- Schedule outpatient hospital services, including imaging, therapy, tests, and procedures
- Confirm necessary authorizations and verify insurance for scheduled services
- Update patient demographic and insurance information in hospital systems
- Communicate appointment details and preparation instructions clearly to patients
- Handle inquiries, cancellations, and rescheduling with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with departments such as radiology, cardiology, and surgical services for smooth scheduling
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Efficiently utilize scheduling software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in healthcare administration preferred)
- Previous experience in outpatient scheduling, patient registration, or a related role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in EMR and hospital scheduling software
