Schedule
- Part-time contractor role (W2 via staffing agency)
- Flexible: 9–39 hours per week (most tutors work 9–15 hours)
- Sessions between 8:00 am–4:00 pm ET, weekdays only (must be available Wednesdays)
- Each assignment runs ~15 weeks; tutors commit to full group duration
Responsibilities
- Deliver small-group tutoring (Kindergarten–6th grade) using Amplify’s structured literacy curriculum
- Prepare and deliver lessons; engage students and track progress
- Participate in required paid training (15–20 hours) and ongoing professional development
- Collaborate with coaches, educators, and peers to refine instruction
- Maintain consistency and build relationships with assigned students
- Join community forums and PD sessions to share best practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Fluent English speaker; comfortable with technology
- Minimum availability: 90 minutes/day, 3 days/week (including Wednesdays)
- Own laptop/desktop with webcam, mic, and reliable internet (no tablets, Chromebooks, or phones)
- Quiet, distraction-free workspace
- Passion for working with K–6 students and openness to coaching
Compensation
- $18/hr for tutoring delivery
- $15/hr for lesson prep and professional development
- Paid training and reimbursements for required fingerprinting/background checks ($50–$150)
