Schedule
- Full-time, remote role (US-based only)
- Standard weekday schedule with flexibility for project assignments
- Must be able to work independently in a virtual team environment
Responsibilities
- Manage advanced denial processes and appeal claims with all payers (government and commercial)
- Take actionable steps to resolve open claims, including refiling, appealing, and completing manual AR tasks
- Work outstanding Accounts Receivable from assigned projects
- Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple workflows and payers
- Provide peer training support on payer processes and systems
- Identify denial patterns, escalate to management, and recommend solutions
- Review payer communications for medical and reimbursement policy changes
- Research payer trends and recommend process or training improvements
- Participate actively in process improvement initiatives
- Maintain productivity, quality standards, and strict confidentiality
- Prepare and manage spreadsheets, documentation, and reporting as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, payer guidelines, and EOBs
- Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payer policies
- General knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to type at least 50 WPM with accuracy
- Must be able to work independently and in a virtual team environment
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting, occasional bending and stretching
- Manual dexterity for office equipment and keyboard use
- Normal range of hearing and vision required
