Schedule
- Full-time, Remote (U.S.-based)
- Standard business hours, with flexibility as needed
Responsibilities
- Submit accurate medical claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Process billing for PT and ABA services across multiple locations.
- Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely payment.
- Research and resolve billing issues, denials, and rejections.
- Post payments, refunds, and adjustments while maintaining accurate ledgers.
- Document patient account activity per policy and procedures.
- Respond to patient and payer inquiries regarding balances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to confirm documentation, authorizations, and payer requirements.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or billing certification preferred).
- 2+ years of medical billing and collections experience.
- Familiarity with Raintree EMR or other billing systems (preferred).
- Prior billing experience for PT and/or ABA services (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
