Schedule

  • Full-time, remote (U.S.-based)
  • Preference for Eastern Time Zone candidates, but all eligible applicants may apply

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from patients and schedule appointments across multiple locations
  • Communicate professionally with patients, documenting and confirming appointments
  • Determine appropriate clinician, location, and appointment type based on patient needs
  • Manage incoming faxes from referral sources and triage general inquiry calls
  • Follow up on no-shows or rescheduled appointments
  • Deliver excellent customer service while promoting Hanger’s values

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in customer service, call centers, or handling medical records/insurance
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems (NextGen) and knowledge of orthotics/prosthetics a plus
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical insurance terminology, and coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPC/CPT) preferred
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to handle office equipment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

  • Pay range: $17.75 – $22.00/hour
  • Annual bonus opportunity: up to 5% of base pay
