Schedule
- Full-time, remote (US-based)
Responsibilities
- Review and submit accurate claims to maximize reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Submit and track appeals, identifying correct pathways and ensuring accuracy
- Investigate denials, determine root causes, and file appeals as needed
- Communicate with patients to explain insurance processes, clarify EOBs, and address non-clinical questions
- Collaborate with outsourced RCM vendor to provide oversight and ensure best practices
- Process and validate payor correspondence, remittance advice, and EOBs
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State billing regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on claims activity
Requirements
- 4+ years of reimbursement/revenue cycle management experience in diagnostics, lab, or with a commercial payer
- College degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
- Familiarity with Xifin, Quadax, or Telcor preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO, and Indemnity Plan structures
- Understanding of coding systems (CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS), LCD/NCD, and reimbursement rules
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
