Schedule
- Full-time, remote position (US only)
- Shifts available:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Arizona Time
- 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hawaii Time
Responsibilities
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and accumulations
- Complete ABNs and confirm CPT codes for authorization, predetermination, or PCP referral requirements
- Refer single case agreements to the hospital CBO
- Create patient estimates and update demographics
- Take patient payments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide accurate and timely support with strong attention to detail
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance billing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities
- Detail oriented with follow-through on issue resolution
- Effective interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and patient-specific care considerations
- Proficient computer skills; ability to work in a seated position and focus on a computer screen for extended periods
- Flexibility to manage a fluctuating workload
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Meditech
- Experience initiating prior authorizations
