Schedule
- Full-time, remote
- Monday–Friday, available between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST (8-hour shifts)
Responsibilities
- Manage internal and external medical record requests from insurance carriers, law offices, home health agencies, and DME agencies.
- Retrieve medical records from external EMR systems for coding and billing purposes.
- Maintain department files and reports while meeting established performance goals.
- Support Curana’s mission, values, and service standards.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of protected health information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in medical records management or a related role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding processes.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
