Pomelo Care is a mission-driven healthcare company transforming outcomes for pregnant people and babies. Our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, engineers, and problem solvers delivers evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale. Using a technology-driven platform, we engage patients early, provide individualized risk assessments, and coordinate care throughout pregnancy, NICU stays, and postpartum. We measure success by reducing preterm births, c-sections, NICU admissions, and maternal mortality. Recently, Pomelo Care expanded its impact by acquiring The Doula Network, a national network of in-person doulas, to ensure every birthing person has access to doula services.

Schedule

  • Full-time, remote role.
  • Standard business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM CT.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls, texts, and emails to referred clients to drive new doula enrollments.
  • Document all referrals and client interactions accurately and promptly.
  • Match clients with doulas in Pomelo Care’s national network.
  • Coordinate with health plans, case managers, and external providers to track progress and update on referrals.
  • Manage inbound calls from clients and partners, answering questions and providing guidance.
  • Verify client eligibility via clearinghouse and online insurance portals.
  • Meet enrollment goals in line with company KPIs.
  • Participate in training to stay current on healthcare regulations and best practices.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Experience with healthcare referral systems.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid health plan populations.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Passionate about improving maternal and infant health.

  • Background in administrative or revenue-driving roles.
  • Comfort handling ambiguous or complex situations.
