Schedule
- Contract role, 100% remote (USA)
- Standard weekday schedule
- Must be able to meet department KPIs and deadlines
Responsibilities
- Contact payers to check medical claims status, follow up on denials, and address partial payments.
- File claims with proper documentation and ensure timely adjudication.
- Track and communicate payer requirements and guideline updates to internal teams and customers.
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence as assigned.
- Verify, adjust, and update Accounts Receivable (A/R) based on payer responses.
- Identify and communicate error and denial trends.
- Initiate review and appeals processes on disputed claims.
- Partner with Candid’s Strategy & Operations team on customer accounts and claim trends.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management (medical billing or healthcare/healthtech).
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
- Investigative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with effective multitasking abilities.
- Positive, cooperative attitude with ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to balance quality with efficiency.
Compensation
- $20 – $27 per hour (based on skills and experience).
