Schedule

  • Full-time, remote role
  • Reports to the Manager of Reimbursement and Appeals
  • Temporary with potential for future growth

Responsibilities

  • Review eligibility and claims submissions to maximize accurate reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit appeals for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
  • Follow up on claims and appeal status with persistence and accuracy.
  • Identify proper appeals pathways and investigate denied services to determine root causes.
  • Talk to patients to explain insurance processes, clarify EOBs, and address non-clinical issues.
  • Validate payor requests and claims via correspondence, remittance advice, and EOBs.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State billing legislation.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to remove barriers to reimbursement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in reimbursement or revenue cycle management (preferably in diagnostics or labs).
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Xifin, Quadax, or Telcor (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of medical benefits structures (Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO, Indemnity).
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS, LCD/NCD coding and reimbursement.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Self-starter who can adapt to increased business demands.

Compliance

  • All roles at Naveris require strict adherence to HIPAA standards.
  • Completion of HIPAA training and reporting of suspected violations are mandatory.
