What You’ll Do

  • Audit and review complex Medicare claims, patient records, and billing practices
  • Verify coding accuracy and compliance with CMS guidelines
  • Investigate deficiencies and consult with clinicians on documentation issues
  • Prepare and submit complex reimbursement claims in a managed care environment
  • Research pricing, reimbursement, and appeals processes
  • Provide expertise to clinics and act as an advocate on reimbursement issues
  • Conduct special projects including claims reconciliation and medical necessity reviews
  • Accurately process complex claims with attention to detail

What You Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with payor policies, reimbursement, medical policy, and appeals
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare audits, reimbursement rules, and medical terminology
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office and EHR systems (OPS, NextGen)
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and/or certification as a Medicare Auditor or Medical Audit Specialist
