About the Company
We are a dedicated healthcare team focused on providing accurate, efficient, and patient-friendly financial clearance services. Our goal is to support timely access to care while maximizing reimbursement. As part of the Revenue Cycle team, you’ll collaborate with patients, providers, and payers to ensure smooth processes that impact patient experience.
Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote position
- Day shift hours
- Reports to the Intake Financial Clearance Manager
What You’ll Do
- Monitor registration, referral, and prior authorization work queues and obtain necessary financial clearance.
- Verify insurance requirements and obtain authorizations, pre-certs, or referrals for scheduled services.
- Collaborate with physicians, practices, payers, and patients to resolve financial clearance issues.
- Enter accurate demographic, insurance, and authorization data into registration systems.
- Educate patients about insurance coverage, billing, and payment options.
- Escalate denied or unresolved accounts according to department policy.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Meet productivity and quality standards while providing excellent customer service.
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or higher preferred.
- 1–3 years of patient registration and/or insurance experience (at least one year in customer service).
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology and CPT/ICD-10 codes.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, problem-solve, and work in complex environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom) and EHR/registration systems.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to resolve challenging situations.
