Schedule
- Full-time, remote role
- Collaborative work with reimbursement, RCM, and appeals teams
What You’ll Do
- Review eligibility and claims submissions for accuracy to maximize reimbursements
- Audit and process appeals submissions across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Identify root causes for denials, investigate discrepancies, and determine proper appeals pathways
- Track and resolve claim variances and payment discrepancies via EOBs, remittance advice, and payer correspondence
- Communicate with patients to explain insurance processes, clarify EOBs, and address non-clinical questions
- Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations, including HIPAA
- Partner with outsourced RCM vendors to provide oversight and ensure accuracy
What You Need
- 4+ years’ experience in reimbursement, RCM, or medical billing (diagnostics/lab experience strongly preferred)
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with systems such as Xifin, Quadax, or Telcor (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS codes, LCD/NCD coverage, and payer structures (Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO)
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and adapt to fast-paced business demands
- Experience working independently in a remote environment
