Schedule
- Fully remote role (Louisville, TN–based)
- Full-time position
- Overtime may be required depending on workload
What You’ll Do
- Follow up on unpaid claims via phone or insurance websites, identifying and correcting billing errors
- Rebill corrected claims or resend claims with required documentation
- Work with insurance companies to resolve denied claims, including preparing appeals when necessary
- Report recurring issues that prevent claims from processing correctly
- Participate in progress meetings with the Accounts Receivable Team
- Escalate unusual claim issues, denials, adjustments, or fee schedule concerns to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounts Receivable Manager
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical billing experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn billing software quickly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to evolving priorities
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary
