Schedule
- Full-time, remote role (must be based in Illinois)
- Monday–Friday schedule with required availability during business hours
What You’ll Do
- Answer patient calls and emails regarding billing questions with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Manage patient accounts: process payments, set up payment plans, and handle collections when necessary.
- Support billing staff with office tasks such as pulling EOBs, payment receipts, and insurance claims.
- Mail secondary claims and collection letters as instructed.
- Identify and process patient or insurance refunds and credits.
- Collaborate between billing and operations teams to resolve patient balance inquiries.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
What You Need
- BS/BA degree preferred, or 2+ years of medical billing and customer service experience.
- Strong phone/email skills and ability to manage high call volume.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of billing processes, AR management, and insurance claim handling.
- Strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and professionalism.
