What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily billing, collections, and claims processing for hospital revenue cycle
- Monitor KPIs including A/R days, denials, collections, and contract compliance
- Lead, train, and support Billing Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate submissions
- Collaborate with leadership on budget planning, invoice accuracy, and team scheduling
- Maintain compliance with payer regulations, state/federal laws, and confidentiality policies
- Review reports, identify operational gaps, and implement improvement strategies
- Escalate complex issues and drive resolution through proactive communication
- Ensure timely employee evaluations, timesheets, and adherence to contracts
- Act as primary liaison between facility management and internal billing operations
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of hospital billing experience required
- Working knowledge of insurance regulations, coding, and billing automation
- At least 2 years of Medicare billing experience (preferred)
- Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
