What You’ll Do
- Investigate and manage complex, high-visibility workers’ compensation claims
- Confirm policy coverage, establish reserves, and authorize payments within authority
- Develop and execute action plans with case managers to control claim costs
- Coordinate early return-to-work efforts with all stakeholders
- Manage subrogation, litigation, and potential claim recoveries
- Report applicable claims to excess carriers
- Maintain compliance with state regulations, client guidelines, and best practices
- Build and sustain professional client and customer relationships
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ claims handling experience in the industry
- State Certification as an experienced Examiner required
- Self-Insured Certificate preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of case management and cost containment in workers’ compensation
