Schedule & Type
- Remote – Contract (1099)
- 20–30 hours per week
- Must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work in the U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all bookkeeping functions: A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and compliance
- Complete bank/credit card reconciliations and month-end close
- Oversee inventory accounting, including material tracking, finished goods, and cost allocations
- Support financial reporting: monthly, quarterly, and year-end statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Process payroll journal entries (payroll handled separately)
- Collaborate with management and external accountants on tax compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements
What You Need
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience (manufacturing strongly preferred)
- Expert-level QuickBooks Online proficiency (QBO certification a plus)
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting (FIFO/LIFO, reconciliation, cost analysis)
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and close processes
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows and integration with accounting systems
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently within a contract role
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
- Job costing and cost accounting in manufacturing
- Experience with ERP systems integrated with QuickBooks Online
- Knowledge of state and federal business tax regulations
