Role Summary
The Customer Service Data Entry Specialist supports the KanCare Clearinghouse Program by providing high-quality service, ensuring accurate data entry, and assisting customers with Medicaid eligibility processes. This role requires strong data entry accuracy, customer service skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review submitted applications and enter data into the Kansas Economic and Enforcement System (KEES).
- Research, analyze, and verify applicant information using multiple sources.
- Maintain updated knowledge of program regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Provide courteous and accurate responses to applicant and customer inquiries.
- Follow up on pending documentation, return incomplete forms, and escalate issues as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance Medicaid eligibility program knowledge.
- Answer calls professionally, evaluate information received, and ask follow-up questions.
- Use standard technology (phone, email, web browsers) for daily tasks.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with Medicaid regulations.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of data entry experience.
- 6+ months of customer service experience.
- Accurate typing speed of at least 28 WPM.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and internet navigation.
Preferred:
- 6+ months’ experience in Family Medical Medicaid eligibility.
- Knowledge of Medicaid and managed care programs.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to different personalities, and work well in a team.
