Schedule & Training

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Standard hours: 9:30am–6:00pm CST (occasional overtime/weekends possible)
  • Paid training: 10 weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm EST (100% attendance required)

Responsibilities

  • Take 50–70 inbound calls daily, resolving customer inquiries on the first call
  • Assist with benefits, eligibility, claims, financial spending accounts, and correspondence
  • Guide customers to maximize plan benefits and select quality care providers
  • Contact care providers on customers’ behalf to schedule appointments or coordinate services
  • Navigate multiple computer systems to research and resolve complex issues
  • Help customers use myuhc.com and other digital tools to become self-sufficient

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of customer service or call center experience
  • Strong computer skills with ability to learn and navigate multiple systems
  • Must reside in the Central or Eastern Time Zone
  • Dedicated, private work area and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Access to UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet

Preferred

  • Sales or account management background
  • Health care or insurance experience (familiarity with medical terminology, benefit plans)
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations in health promotion or behavioral health
