Schedule
- Fully remote within the U.S. (Eastern Time hours)
- Full-time role supporting USAID Human Resources Transactional Services (HRTS)
What You’ll Do
- Administer retirement programs for Foreign and Civil Service employees
- Advise on CSRS, FERS, Foreign Service Pension Systems, FEHB, FEGLI, TSP, and related programs
- Work with OPM and State Department to process retirement and benefits cases
- Counsel employees on complex benefits scenarios, including deposits/redeposits and military deposits
- Participate in quality assurance reviews for retirement processing
- Develop and deliver presentations and training materials on benefits programs
- Provide customer education to support informed retirement decisions
What You Need
- Mastery-level knowledge of federal retirement and benefits policies (CSRS, FERS, FEHB, TSP, FEGLI, OWCP, etc.)
- 3–5 years of federal retirement and benefits advisory experience (civil and/or foreign service)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and experience producing QA reports or evaluations
- Experience using HRConnect, NFC, GRB, or similar systems
- Excellent customer service skills, with prior collaboration with OPM, State Department, or similar agencies
- Ability to obtain and maintain USAID Facility Clearance and meet updated ID requirements
- Preferred: Experience training and mentoring retirement specialists
