Responsibilities

  • Coordinate services for injured workers, acting as a primary point of contact between clients, claimants, employers, and providers
  • Manage case files in multiple systems and ensure accurate documentation
  • Schedule and facilitate medical appointments, keeping all parties informed of updates or changes
  • Obtain medical record authorizations and interface with interdisciplinary providers (PT, diagnostics, psychology, etc.)
  • Identify and maintain an updated list of participating providers
  • Input case activities into databases and customer systems
  • Answer and route incoming calls professionally
  • Process documents via computer, copier, and scanner
  • Screen re-opened cases to determine appropriate action (appeal, reconsideration, new request)
  • Perform basic invoicing and assist with administrative tasks
  • Continuously improve knowledge of company services, products, and customer needs

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare administration or related fields (CNA, Medical Assistant, PT Aide, Workers’ Comp, Claims Admin, IME Coordination, Medical Office Management)
  • Experience with workers’ compensation or disability cases a plus
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to read medical reports or willingness to learn medical terminology
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • High level of efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization, planning, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Empathy for injured or disabled individuals
  • Deductive reasoning and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate’s/certification with relevant experience
  • Customer service mindset
