Schedule
- 100% remote (work-from-home)
- Full-time schedule with consistent hours
- Must be available for training and ongoing compliance updates
- Maintain reliable high-speed internet and quiet workspace
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from members, potential members, brokers, employer groups, and other stakeholders
- Verify prescription drug eligibility, benefits, claims, and authorizations
- Assist members in understanding coverage, enrollment materials, and provider networks
- Document and forward concerns, complaints, and appeals
- Comply with healthcare practices, policies, and regulatory standards (DMHC, CMS, NCQA)
- Research and resolve operational or member issues quickly and accurately
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inquiries
- Assist with premium and billing questions; process ACH and credit card payments
- Participate in special projects such as member education, new member orientation, and claims investigation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ call center experience
- At least 1 year in Medicare customer service or Medicare in-office support
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Knowledge of health maintenance organizations and healthcare benefits
- Basic computer skills and accurate data entry
- Preferred: Epic database experience, AA in Business or Health Care Administration
