Schedule

Responsibilities

  • Research and maintain medical policies for Medicaid (Community & State)
  • Support Value Creation projects and conduct clinical research
  • Audit CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding for compliance and reimbursement accuracy
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex or critical issues
  • Lead cross-functional discussions on clinical topics and present findings to large groups
  • Provide clear explanations and information on complex policy matters

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 3+ years’ experience with a managed care organization or health insurer
  • Medicaid line-of-business experience (Prior Authorizations, Appeals, Claims, or Medical Policy)
  • Familiarity with InterQual guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified coder (AAPC or AHIMA)
  • Experience in health technology assessment and evaluation
  • Experience writing policies or SOPs
  • Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
