Schedule
- Full-time, fully remote position
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, 9am–6pm, or 10am–7pm EST
- Pay: $15.00–$18.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Resolve and collect outstanding patient account balances while maintaining superior customer service
- Maintain productivity levels in line with company and client standards
- Use assigned client software systems effectively and accurately
- Make and receive consecutive calls in a high-volume call center environment
- Document all activities, organize unit workflow, and respond to communications promptly
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to arrange payment in full or set up payment plans, addressing patient concerns
- Model professionalism and maintain composure during difficult interactions
- Comply with FDCPA, HIPAA, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Follow hospital/physician billing practices, departmental policies, and third-party requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of call center experience
- 1+ years of accounts receivable, healthcare billing, or collections experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
