Transamerica is seeking a seasoned Underwriting Trainer III to lead advanced training and development for consultant-level underwriters, management, and cross-functional partners. In this senior-level role, you’ll design and deliver specialized training programs in life, annuity, and health underwriting—driving technical mastery, risk assessment excellence, and ongoing career development. This is a full-time, 100% remote position with a competitive six-figure salary and bonus potential.
✅ Position Highlights
• Salary: $98,000 – $121,000 annually (plus 15% annual bonus eligibility)
• Full-time, remote role

📋 What You’ll Own
• Lead training and upskilling for senior-level underwriters and leadership teams
• Administer and coordinate training schedules, materials, and program delivery
• Apply best practices in curriculum design aligned with industry and company standards
• Develop measurable learning objectives for advanced underwriting expertise
• Keep teams informed on regulatory updates, product changes, and technology advancements
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements
• Lead cross-functional projects requiring high-level underwriting expertise
• Provide mentorship and guidance to underwriting staff
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 8+ years of underwriting experience in insurance or financial services
• FLMI, FALU, or CLU certification (or significant progress toward completion)
• Proven experience in underwriting training or corporate project/process management
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to convey complex technical information in an accessible way
• Strong documentation, writing, and editing skills
• Creative, collaborative approach to learning program design
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
