BroadPath is hiring experienced Medical Coders to work remotely, accurately coding insurance claims to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and streamline claims processing. You’ll use your expertise to support quality improvement initiatives, collaborate across teams, and provide data-driven insights to leadership.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Code insurance claims accurately into the database system
• Follow up with providers and coordinate with internal teams and vendors
• Ensure timely completion of medical record requests to meet CMS deadlines
• Collect and analyze medical records data to support quality improvement initiatives
• Perform data extraction, financial reconciliation, and ad hoc analytics
• Present results and updates to senior leadership
• Manage multiple tasks at both a macro and detailed level
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Valid AHIMA or AAPC coding certification:
– Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
– Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P)
– Risk Adjustment Coding (RAC)
– Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
– Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
– Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC)
– Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
• Minimum 2 years of medical claims coding experience
• Expert knowledge of Medicare severity adjustment processes and coding tools
• Familiarity with claims code editing applications (e.g., Optum CES, ClaimsXten)
• Knowledge of NCCI, AMA, and industry coding rules
• Experience with professional billing claims and institutional claims
