Join Author Health—a mission-driven, virtual-first mental health care startup—as a Patient Engagement Specialist. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients and caregivers navigating serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders (SUD), and dementia. • 💰 $19–$20/hour
• 🕘 Full-time (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM EST)
• 🏠 100% Remote (U.S. only)

📋 What You’ll Own
• Conduct high-volume outreach calls to patients and caregivers
• Educate them on services and help schedule appointments
• Build meaningful rapport over the phone
• Document interactions using CRM and EMR tools
• Collaborate with clinical care teams for warm handoffs
• Provide feedback to improve outreach strategy
• Stay actively engaged in a fully remote, fast-paced environment
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 2+ years in customer service, sales, or outreach (cold calling preferred)
• Experience in healthcare, mental health, or social services
• Strong communication and trust-building skills
• Tech-literate (G-Suite, video conferencing, CRM/EMR)
• Self-starter with excellent time management
• Passion for helping underserved populations
• HIPAA-compliant mindset and attention to privacy
