Symetra is seeking a full-time remote Actuarial Associate II to join its Actuarial Modernization team. In this hybrid role, you’ll work on retirement forecasting, support financial plan and solvency assessments, and contribute directly to the team’s growing Python code base. • Salary range: $85,400 – $142,300
• Full-time, remote position

📋 What You’ll Own
• Contribute to financial forecasting for retirement products
• Perform experience studies, product research, and reporting
• Help modernize processes using Python and SQL
• Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and actuarial tools

• Prepare for and pass actuarial exams toward full designation
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 1–4 years of actuarial experience in insurance
• 3–5 actuarial exams completed (ASA track)
• Strong quantitative background with a relevant degree
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Excel, and other Microsoft tools
• Effective communicator and team collaborator
• High school diploma required
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
