🚀 Role Overview: Virtual Paralegal
As a Virtual Paralegal at Equivity, you’ll manage real legal work for real attorneys. You’ll support matters from intake through resolution in practice areas like litigation, immigration, estate planning, family law, corporate law, or bankruptcy—all while working independently from your home office.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents and correspondence tailored to client needs
- Maintain case files and manage deadlines using legal tech tools
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and courts
- Support 2+ areas of law (e.g., litigation, immigration, family law, etc.)
- Adapt quickly to client preferences and legal workflows
- Manage 20–40 hours of paralegal work per week remotely
✅ What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of recent paralegal experience in a law firm
- Proficiency in at least two legal practice areas
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Comfort with legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase) and MS Office
- Reliable Windows-based computer, smartphone, and internet
- Quiet, professional home office environment
- Ability to respond to client requests within 1 hour during business hours
