Datavant, the world’s leader in health data exchange, is hiring a full-time temporary Health Information Specialist I. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines processing high-volume medical record requests, handling inbound calls, and managing patient data in accordance with HIPAA standards. • $15–$18.32/hour
• Full-time (Temporary)
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST
• 100% remote (U.S.-based)

📋 What You’ll Own
• Process patient health information requests via phone and electronic platforms
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling and release of patient data
• Accurately document and organize medical records in electronic systems
• Prepare, scan, and upload medical documentation
• Respond to internal and external requests for patient records
• Perform data entry, fax/mail handling, and administrative support
• Maintain confidentiality, security, and data accuracy
• Meet daily productivity benchmarks and provide high-quality service
• Support ad hoc duties such as walk-ins, pickups, and compliance tracking
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong data entry and attention-to-detail skills
• Proficiency using computers and basic office equipment
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, production-driven environment
• Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods
• Willing to work overtime during peak seasons when needed
