Akina Pharmacy is hiring a Clinical Compounding Pharmacist to ensure prescription accuracy, safety, and operational excellence within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. As a licensed pharmacist, you’ll review compounded medication orders, support patients and providers, collaborate cross-functionally, and lead the data entry team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-driven professional ready to elevate care through precision and compassion.

• Focus: Verification, patient/provider support, and internal clinical collaboration
📋 What You’ll Own
• Prescription Verification – Review and verify compounded prescriptions for clinical appropriateness and completeness within a 48-hour turnaround
• Patient & Provider Communication – Counsel patients and support providers through clear, empathetic inbound/outbound calls
• Clinical Sales Support – Prepare educational content and respond to product inquiries from sales/marketing within 24–48 hours
• Team Oversight – Supervise pharmacy technician data entry team, offering guidance, training, and QA support
• Clarification Workflow – Manage Additional Information Requested (AIR) and consult queues, ensuring resolution and documentation of prescription discrepancies
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Licensure – Active, unrestricted Virginia pharmacist license (PharmD preferred)
• Compounding Knowledge – Understanding of 503A clinical pharmacy workflows and compounded medication processes
• Detail-Oriented – Committed to quality, compliance, and safety
• Tech-Savvy – Familiar with pharmacy software, order verification tools, and digital documentation systems
• Efficient & Precise – Ability to manage high-volume prescription loads without sacrificing accuracy
• Process-Minded – Experience identifying inefficiencies and driving process improvements
• Preferred – Prior work in a compounding pharmacy setting (503A/503B experience a plus)
