🧾 About the Role
PETA is hiring a full-time, fully remote Major and Special Gifts Coordinator to support high-impact fundraising operations. This role blends administrative precision with donor relationship cultivation, supporting the Major Gifts Department and Special Gifts Program. You’ll manage mid-to-high-level donor data, draft communications, and help nurture long-term donor engagement.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Record key donor information, research, and correspondence into CRM
• Support reporting, proofreading, gift review, and third-party coordination
• Maintain and update donor profiles with accuracy and discretion
• Provide follow-up outreach to planned giving prospects and club members
• Assist with proposals and donor-facing communications
• Cultivate and steward a portfolio of mid-level and major donors
• Support donor events and fundraising projects
• Maintain working knowledge of Canadian charitable law (as applicable)
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising
• Experience with CRM or donor database systems
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills
• Comfortable working independently and maintaining strict confidentiality
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and age 21+
• Aligned with PETA’s mission and able to advocate on its behalf
