🧾 About the Role
Cogent Infotech is hiring a Customer Success Specialist to serve as the “voice of the user” and ensure customers get the most out of their technology solutions. You’ll provide one-on-one support, facilitate product adoption, and work cross-functionally to improve the user experience. This is a full-time remote contract role supporting users in the Washington, DC Metro area.

• Salary range: $55,000 – $125,000/year (based on experience)
• Full-time, fully remote (Washington, DC Metro-based preferred)

📋 What You’ll Own
• Deliver responsive application support and training to end users
• Guide one-on-one sessions to help customers adopt products
• Escalate critical concerns and advocate for the user internally
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance functionality
• Document support issues to improve team knowledge and processes
• Track SLA metrics, resolution times, and customer satisfaction
• Participate in product testing and feedback cycles


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in Computer Science, Business, or related
• 2+ years in customer success or support, ideally in tech or SaaS
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Comfort using MS Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and similar tools
• Quick to learn new tech and IT trends
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust or Secret-level security clearance


📜 Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• ITIL 4 Foundation or CompTIA A+ certification
• Previous support experience in a product or data-driven environment


💻 Remote Requirements
• Must reside in or be able to work U.S. hours (DC Metro preferred)
• Reliable internet and workspace for secure remote support
• Clearance-eligible (U.S. Secret or higher required for some projects)
