Nira Medical is hiring a full-time Benefits and Authorizations Specialist to support the Infusion & Revenue Cycle Management team. In this role, you’ll verify insurance coverage, manage pre-authorizations for medical and infusion services, and help patients navigate financial assistance programs. Your work ensures that patients receive care without delays caused by insurance hurdles or lack of financial clarity.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage for office visits and infusion services
• Obtain pre-authorizations and insurance approvals for all services provided
• Mitigate insurance denials, including facilitating peer-to-peer reviews and appeals
• Stay current on payer-specific infusion drug authorization requirements and state/federal coverage guidelines
• Calculate patient financial responsibility and communicate it clearly
• Identify financial assistance resources, including copay assistance and manufacturer support programs
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 2–3 years of experience in medical insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Familiarity with infusion services (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of insurance structures, benefit terms, and pre-auth requirements
• Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and J-code billing
• Ability to read and interpret clinical documentation
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Critical thinker with sound judgment and attention to detail
• Athena experience is a plus but not required
