📋 What You’ll Own
• Reconcile standard and complex claims using Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from Health Plan Payors
• Manually reconcile paper claims and spreadsheets for 2-step accounts
• Contact Health Plans to resolve claim issues, including underpayments or erroneous denials
• Use Health Plan/TPA websites to verify claim status and request reprocessing as needed
• Work reports including 14-day, aged, unreconciled, and rejected claims
• Document claim activity in internal systems and spreadsheets
• Respond to internal logs within 48 hours of assignment
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and departmental productivity goals
• Escalate invalid denial trends and assist with cross-team efforts as needed
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• High school diploma
• 2–3 years of experience in claims processing or healthcare billing
• Familiarity with HMO/PPO plans and managed care environments
• Strong typing and 10-key skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Maintains confidentiality and promotes a collaborative team culture
