🧾 About the Role
The Posting Specialist plays a critical role in healthcare revenue operations by accurately posting payments from payers, patients, and third-party sources. You’ll be responsible for processing ERAs, EFTs, and lockbox transactions with precision while resolving discrepancies and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
This is a fully remote position.
✅ Key Responsibilities
• Post payments, denials, and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner
• Process ERA, EFT, and lockbox transactions in compliance with payer rules and internal policies
• Review and reconcile EOBs, identify discrepancies, and correct posting errors
• Maintain organized and compliant posting records for audits and reporting
• Collaborate with billing, collections, and revenue cycle teams to resolve payment issues
• Generate reports on payment trends, discrepancies, and reconciliation gaps
• Stay current with reimbursement guidelines and industry compliance standards
• Communicate with team members to clarify payer documentation and resolve posting questions
🎯 What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years of healthcare payment posting experience
• Strong knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, EFTs, and lockbox systems
• Familiarity with payer reimbursement rules and federal/state compliance standards
• Experience with healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team
• Must pass a background check, including a credit check
