Our client is looking for a Patient Engagement Specialist with strong dental software knowledge, exceptional people skills, and a talent for keeping operations flowing. You’ll be the bridge between patients, the care team, and the front office—handling scheduling, insurance claims, education, and support. If you know your way around OpenDental (and maybe Dentrix, CurveDental, or EagleSoft too), this could be your perfect fit.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Patient Communication: Schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and maintain accurate records
• Insurance Support: Help process claims quickly and accurately for timely reimbursements
• Software Mastery: Use OpenDental and other platforms (Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, etc.) to manage patient data, appointments, billing, and more
• Appointment Coordination: Maximize provider availability and minimize schedule gaps
• Billing Clarity: Help patients understand treatment costs, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities
• Education & Engagement: Provide pre- and post-treatment education to support patient compliance and care
• Workflow Optimization: Keep admin processes smooth and efficient behind the scenes
• Detailed Documentation: Maintain accurate records including treatment plans and insurance notes
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to ensure seamless care
• Customer Service Excellence: Keep patient satisfaction high with empathy and professionalism


🎯 What You Bring
• 2+ years of experience in a dental or healthcare admin setting
• Must-have: Proficiency with OpenDental
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, or Denticon
• Prior experience processing dental insurance claims preferred
• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
• A warm, patient-first approach to everything you do
