As a Tier III Billing & Collections Specialist, you’ll handle complex billing issues and escalations while delivering top-tier customer support. This senior-level role combines operational expertise with a strong customer service approach to ensure billing experiences are seamless, accurate, and proactive.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Resolve Tier III billing escalations via phone, email, and internal platforms
• Complete advanced billing functions: audit refunds, rescissions, UAT testing, batch error reports
• Ensure service level compliance while meeting all regulatory guidelines
• Handle urgent, complex billing concerns from agencies and customers
• Maintain daily production goals across all assigned responsibilities
• Train and mentor peers, assist with onboarding new team members
• Help build internal resources and training documentation
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on billing policies and workers’ comp knowledge
• Identify and prevent recurring issues through proactive resolution
🎯 Must-Have Traits & Experience
• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred
• 2+ years in financial services, collections, or banking
• 2+ years of high-volume customer service experience
• 1+ year familiarity with Pie’s systems and standards strongly preferred
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly self-motivated, accountable, and accurate in independent work
• Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, change-oriented environment
• Tools: G Suite, Salesforce, payment processing systems, collaboration tools (Slack preferred)
