The Associated Press is seeking a proactive and detail-focused HR Coordinator/Administrator to support its global HR Business Partner team and people operations. Reporting to the Director, HRBP News, this position plays a pivotal part in administering contracts, supporting compliance, managing employee data, and ensuring clarity across payroll, benefits, and recruitment.
This role may be fully remote or hybrid (3 days/week in an AP office). Candidates must hold the legal right to work in their location.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Draft and administer employment contracts, addendums, and documentation
• Maintain and update SAP HR database and employee records
• Liaise with payroll and benefits on employee changes
• Track temporary contract timelines and upcoming status changes
• Monitor employee sickness records and sick pay calculations
• Conduct right-to-work checks and maintain compliance databases
• Manage invoice processing, vendor setup, and purchase orders
• Conduct and complete reference checks
• Support recruitment and onboarding alongside the Talent team
• Provide operational assistance to global HR projects and daily needs

🛠️ Qualifications
• 1–2 years in an HR Administrator/Coordinator role (international experience a plus)
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms (SAP HR / SuccessFactors preferred but not required)
• Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
• Basic understanding of employment and right-to-work legislation (multi-jurisdictional knowledge a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Fluent English required; additional languages a plus
