🔍 Summary of the Role
Verisma is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our Release of Information (ROI) operations. In this vital role, you’ll be the first line of communication for requesters seeking access to patient medical records. You’ll resolve issues, provide updates, and ensure compliance—all while delivering exceptional customer service.


âś… Position Highlights
• Pay Range: $16–$19/hr
• Schedule: Full-Time, Standard Hours
• Location: 100% Remote
• Department: Customer Service, ROI Division


đź“‹ Key Responsibilities
• Respond to 8–10 inbound calls per hour regarding medical record requests
• Provide status updates, resolve issues, and document corrective actions
• Handle invoice questions, remediation concerns, and other record inquiries
• Accurately document all call activity in Verisma software (VRM, RingCentral)
• Respond to voicemail/email support requests (approx. 20/hour)
• Maintain high service metrics (QA >93%, ACW >40 seconds, Working Rate >85%)
• Build strong rapport with patients, attorneys, insurers, clinics, and internal teams
• Stay current on HIPAA, HITECH, and state/federal data release regulations
• Train and support new hires as a “training buddy”
• Maintain schedule adherence and limit call refusals/unscheduled absences


🎯 What You Bring
• High School Diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
• 3+ years of customer service experience—or 1+ year of exceptional performance in a similar role
• 1 year of healthcare or medical office experience (preferred)
• Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Tech-savvy with accurate typing and data entry skills
• Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to stay composed under pressure and manage high call volumes
