As an Accounts Receivables Specialist 2, you’ll be the financial follow-up expert, turning denied claims into paid ones while keeping patients and providers supported.

📋 What You’ll Own:
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and authorizations using payer websites, client systems, or phone calls
• Update patient demographics and insurance details in client systems
• Investigate, status, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
• Review EOBs for payments, underpayments, or adjustments; escalate or resolve accordingly
• Write appeals and gather medical documentation for insurance reconsideration
• Navigate payer guidelines, billing manuals, and authorization protocols
• Coordinate with clinical audit teams on authorization or coding-related denials
• Adhere to HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and all compliance regulations while handling patient data
• Use Excel, internal software, and payer platforms to document, sort, and resolve claims issues
• Collaborate across teams to meet performance and revenue recovery goals
🎯 Must-Have Traits & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years in healthcare A/R, preferably with hospital systems or insurance payers
• Hands-on experience with billing errors, denial follow-up, and claim resubmission
• Deep familiarity with EOBs, UB-04s, payer reimbursement procedures, and denial codes
• Skilled in using A/R software, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and payer portals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document clearly
• Organized, performance-driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
