Accountant (Temp)
Client: Well-known Insurance company
Location: Remote in IL, TX, NM, OH
Pay Rate: $17-$20/hour
Description:
Under supervision, this position is responsible for working on the phone all day in a call center environment to assist internal and external customers by responding to telephone inquiries in a prompt, accurate and objective manner. Duties include: conducting research; spends approximately 95% of the scheduled time on the phone according to business need.
Job Description:
- Respond to general account billing inquiries for internal and external customers.
- Research internal resources to gather and verify other group information (effective date, active status, premiums, etc.)
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations involving basic numeric comparisons.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year experience in accounting OR 12 credit hours of accounting coursework.
- PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for math and 10-key skills.
- Detail oriented.
Preferred Requirements:
- 1 year call center customer service experience.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Experience working in BlueStar.
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
