Position Summary
The Advocate position was created to support the health plans as well as the supervisors as we take over the PR calls. Currently the advocates assist on KI and also other projects depending on phone availability. In addition, the health plans rely on CICR to be the experts to research claims issues and the advocates are trained to be able to conduct complex research and work with the different department to solve such issues. Currently, this work is being completed on overtime putting stress on the CICR budget and also on the employees work life balance. We are requesting that these positions be approved to be non-production positions.
By allowing the Advocate position to be part of the non-production phone staff, it places CICR in a great position to have successors and build stronger relationships with the health plans.
