Our next classes start in November of 2023.
We’ve got you covered with a variety of shifts. We are currently hiring for schedules with start times that range between the following hours:
• 8:00am -12:30pm [EST]: (Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland & Pennsylvania)
• 6:00am – 10:30am [MST]: (Arizona and Utah)
Note: Shifts are Monday- Friday with weekends as assigned .
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate packaging of loans.
- Handles escalated issues and complex transactions.
- Performs customer contact on files, reviews documents and clears conditions within credit authority.
- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management
- If working from home, you will need a quiet workspace so you can focus on our customers. You’ll also need a minimum of 100 MBPS download/10 MBPS upload speed from your internet provider. A wired connection is required.
- We’ll provide you with all the equipment you need! Monitors, laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset, and an amazing new hire training experience. You’ll also have the best coaches to help you deliver the best service!
How You’ll Do It
- Gathers customer information and supporting documentation.
- Enters customer information into systems.
- Verifies the accuracy of documentation.
- Packages files for underwriting and closing teams.
- Communicates loan status to customers over the phone and in writing
- Ensures processes are completed and verifies transactions are met.
- Ensures documents received clear loan approval requirements as appropriate
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
- 2+ years Mortgage Loan Processing or related
Bonus Points If You Have
- 4+ years Consumer Lending Processing, or related

This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on Discover Financial Services’ review of your criminal history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to a determination by Discover Financial Services that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Your continued employment in this position would be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.
In addition, this position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. As such, upon active employment with Discover Financial Services, you will be required to either register on NMLS, or to update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with Discover Financial Services. Your continued employment in this position with Discover Financial Services is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date, and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
